‘Docs By The Sea’의 멘토링 프로그램

 

 

8월 13일 동남아시아 8개국에서 선정된 37개 프로젝트가 참가한 연례 영화포럼 ‘Docs By The Sea’의 멘토링 프로그램이 열렸다. 원래 발리에서 열릴 예정이었으나 코로나 사태 때문에 온전히 온라인 행사로 8월 13일~28일 기간동안 진행된다. 인도네시아 영화제작자들의 다큐멘터리 13편이 포함되었다.

 

Docs By The Sea는 비영리단체들과 인도네시아 관광창조경제부의 도움을 얻어 2017년 처음 시작되었고 그동안 동남아 여러 나라의 74개 다큐멘터리 프로젝트를 구체화, 현실화시켜 관객들 앞에 내놓도록 도왔다. 이 과정을 수료한 영화인들이 부산 국제영화제, 네덜란드의 IDFA, 스위스의 Visions du Réel 등 40개가량의 국제영화제에서 선전했고 그들 작품 네 편이 일본 NHK의 ‘Inside Lens’에서 방영되기도 했다.

 

전문가들이 참여하는 스토리텔링 랩에선 올해 힘있는 스토리텔링을 만드는 법, 에디팅 랩에서는 최적화된 스토리구도를 만들는 멘토링을 진행하며 프로젝트팀은 8월 26일~28일 기간 중에 각 참가자들을 자금조달, 방송사, 배급사, 국제 다큐멘터리 영화제, 업계 종사자 등과 1대1 매칭을 도모한다.
